Contrary to what many dental patients believe, dental crowns, bridges, implants, dentures, orthodontics, and more aren’t created on-site in most dental offices. Usually, these appliances are outsourced to a dental lab, where fabrication occurs over several days or weeks. They are then returned to the dentist’s office to be inserted.
