Dental Care For Our Seniors
Giving seniors the gentle dental care they deserve
Older patients often suffer from multiple dental problems, including discoloration and weak or missing teeth. Many treatments are available for issues affecting the elderly, including bleaching and cosmetic restorations for stained or misshapen teeth, dental implants, dentures, and partial dentures to replace missing teeth.
Dental conditions associated with aging also include dry mouth (xerostomia). Fluoride applications can counteract this condition.
Island Dental Associates can treat and mitigate elderly dental conditions and give relief to our loved ones.
Senior Extractions
Many of our elderly patients come into our practice for tooth extractions. There are various reasons why an extraction may be necessary, medication reactions, improper hygienic care, or lapses in dental visits.
We empathize with our patients and do everything possible to restore the affected teeth before extraction. For over 30 years, Island Dental’s approach to geriatric dentistry has been compassionate. Our elderly loved ones have earned it!
Implant Dentures
Implant-supported dentures are an excellent option for seniors. They are more comfortable and stable than traditional dentures. They are easy to remove and keep clean with no messy adhesives.
Implants give older people improved physical health and more confidence. Implants can change their lives for the better. No age is too old for dental Implants.
