Dr. Wang is a general dentist driven by her passion for the health profession and love of working with people of different backgrounds. Originally born and raised in Xi’an, China, she immigrated to the USA with her parents at a young age. Since then, she has lived in 3 different continents, and traveled to at least 14 different countries. Through this, Dr. Wang developed her appreciation and passion for different cultures, people, and languages. She speaks English, Mandarin Chinese, and a bit of Spanish.
When she was a child, Dr. Wang visited her dentist often (she was not good about brushing her teeth as a kid), and learned the importance of dental education and care. She went on to study Biology and graduated with honors from NYU College of Arts and Sciences.
Dr. Wang earned her doctorate degree from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine and graduated with cum laude honors. Dr. Wang enlisted in additional training in residency at NYU Winthrop Hospital, where she learned to manage hospital based patient needs and emergencies and practiced all aspects of general dentistry such as implants, oral surgery, prosthodontics, endodontics, and cosmetic dentistry.
Over the years, Dr. Wang developed her compassion for working with people with dental phobias and strives to provide the most gentle and comfortable care that they deserve. Her patients have told her that they feel comfortable with her due to her calm demeanor and gentle hands.
Outside of work, Dr. Wang enjoys traveling (surprise surprise) with the love of her life, watching dental webinars/videos, getting massages for her sore back muscles, and singing her heart out to disney songs.
